STANDARD TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1.Quote
Validity
All quotes have an expiry date and prices are subject to change after that date.
2. Deposit
Requirements
A minimum deposit of 50% is required to secure materials and schedule installation. No orders will be processed without a signed quote and deposit.
3. Final
Payment
The remaining balance is due once materials arrive and before the installation will be scheduled. Payments can be made by e-transfer, debit, cheque, or credit card.
4. Lead
Times
Estimated lead times are provided at the time of order but are subject to change due to manufacturer timelines, shipping delays, or unforeseen circumstances. We are not responsible for delays beyond our control.
5. Installation
Date
We will contact you to arrange an installation date once your product arrives. This date is weather-dependent and may change.
6. Scope
of Work
Quotes include only the products and services listed. Any additional work required (e.g., drywall, electrical, structural modifications) will be the customer’s responsibility.
7. Changes
& Revisions
The initial quote and one revision are free of charge. Additional revisions are subject to a $25 fee each, which will be credited toward your final order if you proceed.
8. Loyalty
Points
Loyalty points are earned on eligible purchases only and cannot be applied to the order on which they are earned. Points must be requested at the time of placing your next order and are non-transferable. Visit www.windowdoor.net/loyalty-points for full details.
9. Cancellation
Policy
Orders cancelled after materials have been ordered may be subject to a restocking fee or loss of deposit, depending on the supplier’s policy.
10. Product
Warranty
Manufacturer warranties apply to all windows and doors. Installation is covered by a 1 Year workmanship warranty. Warranty terms are void if damage is caused by misuse, abuse, or unauthorized modifications.
11. Customer Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for clearing the work area (both inside and
outside) prior to installation, securing pets, and notifying the installer
of any hidden hazards or concerns.
12. Electrical Work Notice
If electrical work is required in the area where The Window & Door
Store will be performing installation, it is the customer's responsibility
to arrange for that work to be completed either prior to or following the
installation, depending on the specific situation. All associated costs
are the sole responsibility of the customer unless otherwise stated on the
quotation.
13. Liability
We take all precautions during installation. However, minor cosmetic damage (e.g., to paint, trim, or landscaping) may occur and is considered normal in renovation projects. We are not responsible for pre-existing issues or damages not caused by our team.
14. Blinds Disclaimer
Please note that The Window & Door Store cannot guarantee that your existing blinds will fit your new windows, as window dimensions and configurations may change. While our installers take great care during the installation process, we are not responsible for any damage to blinds, nor are we liable for their replacement.
Our team specializes in the professional installation of windows and doors, and we recommend that blinds be handled by a window covering specialist if adjustments or reinstallation are required.
15. Disposal
Removal and disposal of old windows/doors is included unless otherwise stated. If you wish to keep your old materials, please inform the installer in advance.
16. Permits & Approvals
Unless otherwise specified, the customer is responsible for obtaining any
permits or approvals required by local authorities or homeowner
associations.
17. Acceptance
of Quote
By signing the quote or providing a deposit, you are accepting these terms and conditions in full.
